Air Traffic at Phoenix Sky Harbor

I went to Sky Harbor on December 15 to photograph early morning freighter departures. Heavy freighters included McDonnell-Douglas MD-11Fs, Boeing 757s, Boeing 767s, Airbus A300, and Boeing 737. Smaller package freighters included Fairchild Metros, Beech C-99 Commuters, Beech 1900s, Cessna 208 Caravans, and an Embraer Brasilia. A U.S. Navy Boeing E-6B Mercury was parked in the western frieght area.
UPS McDonnell-Douglas MD-11F N253UP was built in September 1993 . Its construction number is 48439. It was delivered to Varig as PP-VPM on December 30, 1993. UPS registered it as as N253UP on June 10, 2002 and converted it to a freighter.
United Airbus A319-132 N890UA first flew on June 24, 2006. Its construction number is 2815. It was delivered to China Southern Airlines as B-5220 on June 24, 2006. United registered it as N890UA on July 1, 2016.
United Boeing 737-924 N68821 first flew on April 8, 2014. Its construction number is 43535. It was delivered to United on April 16, 2014. It is the 8000th 737 built.
